Cio&Co Chocolate Packaging Design

Who can really make their minds about chocolate? Bitter or sweet, milk or black, choice is hard when it comes to our intimate indulgences. But by combining two types of chocolate in every pack, Cio&Co is a product for the undecided. That’s where the name Cio&Co comes from – a play of words, „cioco” being the diminutive for chocolate in Romanian.

This was a really nice and fulfilling project to work and I’ve learned a lot about production wizardry of packaging design. Even if it looks simple to achieve, embossing graphics on a piece of chocolate requires much attention to details, knowledge of the process and constant communication with the manufacturing guys. Chocolate molds are expensive and sometimes you only get one chance to get it right.
